WHAT ARE LIPOTROPIC INJECTIONS?
Lipotropic injections are nutrient-based injections that may support your body's normal fat metabolism as one part of an individualized, medically supervised weight management plan. At Enhance Aesthetics & Wellness in Yuma, AZ, our lipotropic injections typically combine methionine, inositol, and choline (sometimes called "MIC"), and may include B vitamins to support energy as you work toward your goals.
Lipotropic (MIC) injections are a compounded medication prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy. They are not an FDA-approved branded weight-loss drug, and they are intended to complement, not replace, healthy nutrition, physical activity, and the rest of your care plan. Individual results vary.
These injections are administered under the medical supervision of nurse practitioner Marina Roloff, DNP, FNP-C, and her team. During your consultation, we review your health history and goals to determine whether lipotropic injections are an appropriate part of your plan.
WHAT MAY LIPOTROPIC INJECTIONS SUPPORT?
As one component of a supervised weight management program, lipotropic injections may help support:
- Your body's normal metabolism of fat
- Energy levels alongside nutrition and activity changes
- Liver pathways involved in processing fats
- Your broader medical weight management plan
Lipotropic injections are not a standalone solution and are not a substitute for nutrition, physical activity, or clinical guidance. Outcomes differ from person to person, and individual results vary.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
During your initial consultation at Enhance Aesthetics & Wellness, our team conducts a health assessment and reviews your goals to determine whether lipotropic injections are appropriate for you. If they are, the injection is quick to administer, typically into the upper arm. Many clients use lipotropic injections as one element of a broader Medical Weight Management plan, and some pair them with Vitamin Injections for added nutrient support.
We care for wellness clients from across Yuma County, including Foothills, Somerton, and San Luis.
